Team flies home from Seville midday Sunday with the Copa del Rey trophy among their luggage

This morning, FC Barcelona’s first team departed Sevilla and set course for home, bringing the Copa del Rey trophy back to Catalonia! The champions’ flight took off shortly after midday and touched down in Barcelona just before 2pm, with the precious silverware safely in tow.

Straight off the plane, the squad headed to the Ciutat Esportiva before and from there went their separate ways for some well-earned rest. But there’s no time to party too hard — despite being crowned kings of the cup, Barça have another battle looming. This Wednesday, Hansi Flick’s men face Inter in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals, a massive game as the Catalans chase a dream date in Munich on May 31st.
Players and staff alike made sure to show off their special shirts commemorating the club’s 32nd cup triumph. Emblazoned with the motto: “Blaugrana Legacy. Where history is born. Where the future lives,” the shirt is destined to become another unforgettable icon from a night that will live forever in Barça folklore.
